In February we are doing almost the exact same ride. We are starting for Veronica going to Santo Tomas to San Quintin to Mikes then back to Veronica. Thanks for your information. Our Tracks along the coast are almost identical. Of course its pretty easy to follow the coast, just look for the water.

Last time we rode back from San Quintin to Ensenada, the tide was too high most of the day and we weren't able to get on the beach at all. Any tips on planning for this? I've pulled up tide charts but not sure at what point the beach is accessible.

After passing shipwreck head into camalu. Hit the Pemex for fuel and slab it to San Quentin.

Thanks - that helps. Any tips on how to plan so that we CAN ride the beach, or is it luck of the draw on the tides? Are you planning your trip around the tide so that you can hit the beach? If so, curious if you have any tips on how you do that.

You recommend slabing from Camalu to San Quentin. Is the coast fenced/gated? I see a lot of green on the Topo Map, maybe its privet property/farming?

No I don't like to slab it. Somebody asked about the high tide earlier in the post. Out of 10 times doing this run, one time tide was high my the coastline of camalu. They have bluffs there so you can't get by when the high tide was there. But that's just a few mile section. The rest of the way it's wide
Sandy beaches with no cliffs next to you.
