I used these maps recently on my trip from Ensenada to Cabo San Lucas. I have both the Street and Topo editions, And they both were extremely accurate and useful. I found only one Pemex station not listed. But every trail on the TOPO was as precise as could be. I road 1350 miles and never once saw an error in the map translation.

Well worth the peice of mind for exloring new trails.

There appears to be two maps available at the above link (Navigator and Expedition). I'm planning on doing some trail riding in a month or so in Northern baja. Is there one that would be recommeded over the other?

I will have to check one is a topo map and the other has all of the wayponts loaded like gas stations. I have both and used both. We were doing some scouting for a friend who does tours.

If you have a paper map you can get buy with out the topo. But I loved having the small trails on my GPS so I could always know if that trail goes through.

You can get buy with out the file that contains all of the waypoints if you down load similar ones on here. But it was nice being able to look up gas, restaurants, and medical services if needed.

Also one is in all spanish and the other is in english. So it was easier to use the features of one stacked on top of the other one. If you display both maps you can use all the garmin features and have the best of both worlds.

I know this doesnt help you pick one, but you can choose depending on what you are doing.

The link is in Ger's post. This is the one:

http://mapas.vela-turcott.org/topo.php

Perhaps it can be removed or replaced with a valid link, otherwise it would be super useful.
